Steve Abernathy has been practicing in the City of Canton for over thirty years.  Mr. Abernathy graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1970 and shortly thereafter served a tour of duty in the United States Army in Vietnam.  Upon his safe return, he was admitted to the University of Georgia where he attended and graduated from law school.  He first opened his Canton practice in 1975, and over the years has partnered with many established attorneys and young associates who now remain in the practice of law in Canton.  Mr. Abernathy began his practice with Cliff Conrad as Conrad and Abernathy in 1982.  After many years, the firm name changed to Abernathy and Ballinger, and became known as Abernathy and Associates in 2002. 

Mr. Abernathy has maintained a general civil and criminal  practice over these thirty years, with a concentration in domestic and family law, criminal law, worker’s compensation and personal injury.   He has achieved the respect and admiration of attorneys with whom he has practiced over the years, as well as respect and appreciation from the clients whom he has represented.  Abernathy and Associates continues to be an established and reputable firm which represents the individuals and businesses of North Georgia.
